Custom Designs, Inc. is one of the region’s largest distributors of cabinetry, appliances, counter tops and related products and services to the trade covering the New York metropolitan area and the state of New Jersey.  We have provided cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, libraries, wine cellars, family rooms, bedrooms, entertainment centers, home offices, butler’s pantries and the like. 

 

The Position:

    Experienced Designers – We seek creative and career minded designers for outside sales positions in exclusive territories. 

 

    New to the industry – Unlimited commission, exclusive territories, design training, if you want to sell and enjoy selling, we want to talk to you. 

 

Requirements and job description:

     The candidate will sell to and design for builders, contractors, landlords and management companies, architects, interior designers, and dealers.  Direct interaction with the clients of our customers in their homes during the design process requires the candidate to be able to make professional presentations to sophisticated customers.  In addition to working with our existing customer base, you will be following up and managing sales leads as well as generating leads of your own.  As the job requires the candidate to work in the field, a car is required.  You must be comfortable being behind the wheel most of the day and have a clean driving record.  You will have to be able to manage multiple projects with different deadlines.  Good communication skills and enthusiasm, the ability to make professional presentations, attention to detail, basic computer skills and being a self motivator with a desire to learn, grow and succeed are the keys to success.  We offer a comprehensive benefits package.
